Woodworking Websites For WoodCrafters  & Wood Artists

Do your woodworking plans include getting your wood crafting business onto the web?

I think successful woodworking sites will be those which build a personal relationship between buyers and woodcrafters. Buyers like to know they are getting a handcrafted item and like to know about the individual making the item.

Building websites used to take a lot of technical skill.  For most woodcrafters that  meant they would have to write a big check to have someone build their site for them.  Those days are gone.  This site is built with a drag and drop website builder called Weebly.  The fact is that if you have $50 and can use a word processor you can probably build an acceptable website for your startup.  Obviously it won't have all the features of a custom site, but it will be good enough to get indexed by the search engines and help turn visitors into customers.

Weebly offers a free account that may be all you ever need.  If you want to do some of the more exotic things you may need to upgrade to a pro account.  Even if you do, you will still be under the $50 number.  If you follow this link to Weebly I will get an affiliate commission if you sign up for a paid account.  If you do that you can use the contact form at the top of the page to let me know and I will help you set your site up on your own domain when the time comes.

I collect wood and woodworking domains names which I think might be valuable for wood crafters. I use them to build example woodcraft sites. The domains below are wood related domains which are currently available for use by my customers. They are not necessarily polished portfolio websites, rather they present a variety of graphics and designs that could be used on your site.   Use the contact form if you would like me to build a Weebly site for you on one of these domains and we can negotiate a price.

Some of my domains are listed below.  Most have been registered for some time and may already be indexed and have some existing page rank.  If I build a new site on those kind of names your information will get indexed more quickly that on a newly registered domain.

Antique Oak:  Not developed yet but the website where I plan to show pictures of antique oak products such as picture frames.  Fumed oak was also popular with Stickley home decor.

Antique Oak Furniture:  In the early part of the 1900's oak was the preferred wood for furniture and was hugely popular.  Oak is still popular and there is a big market for antique oak furniture.  We have some ourselves that we bought to refinish and never got around to working on.

Chip Carving : A craft that turns small scrap wood pieces into works of art.  All it takes is time...

Finest Woods:  I think this was was originally a website talking about golf clubs.  I think it has more interest as a place to discuss fine wood for carving, turning, etc.

Installing Laminate Flooring:  The wood floor laminates look really good, are durable, are easy to clean and affordable.  What's not to like?

Oak Company:  No site built yet but it seemed like a good, short domain name to use for a company involved with selling oak products.  If you live in an area where you can harvest oak and prepare it for use by woodcrafters please us the contact form to let me know.  I would be interested in using OakCo.com to build a sales website where I was paid a commission on sales made from the website.

Treenware:   Wooden Kitchenware, especially antique items are quite popular.

Turned on Wood : A site for the wood turners.

Wood Mouldings:  Wood mouldings are popular trim items in modern homes and were heavily used in Stickley and Craftsman homes.  With the development of CNC wood working machines fancy old moulding can often be matched if you are willing to pay the price.  There isn't a site on this domain  yet.

Wooden Toys: Wood toys were the product of a limited budget and time during long, cold winters.  Now it's art and the prices show it.

Wooden Spoons : Wood spoons are still the best tool for cooking some sorts of food.

Wood Working Supplies:  Someday this will be a website offering unusual woodworking supplies for sale online.
